Revisit Doom

Indeed. It’s always nice to revisit DOOM. A true classic in the first-person shooter genre. Developed by ID Software and published by Bethesda Softworks, Doom is actually a soft reboot of the Doom franchise. While at the same time, it acts as a sequel to Doom 64 released in 1997. You get to play as an unnamed space marine, as he battles demonic forces from Hell. They’re unleashed by the Union Aerospace Corporation within their energy-mining facility on Mars, and it’s up to you to kick their asses.

And as you can probably expect, the graphics are still exceptional in Doom, even after several years since its release. Which is nice to revisit Doom. So is the gunplay, and with total honesty, it’s one of the most unique things in the game. You just know that combined with the weapon customization, you’re in for a treat.

Doom Is A Game For The Ages! Revisit Doom

Oh, and not to mention the outstanding audio that will most probably blow you eardrums and give you an eargasm at the same time. And although the fast-passed action is what draws you to the game, you will appreciate the story as well, that little bit of it.

The multi-player mode deserves a bit more work for sure, but the single-player campaign is truly a work of art. Oh, and that audio I mentioned… Well, the soundtrack is really something else. It immerses you in the game like no other, making you feel like a real badass. And believe it or not, no movie adaptation even came close to that.

But what’s great about Doom is the game’s simplicity. Simplicity in terms of the use of course. You’ll find yourself being addicted to the action, the gameplay and pretty much everything in between. Yes, it’s one of the games that certainly benefit from a loudspeaker, but the gameplay doesn’t disappoint either. With a vast array of guns and assault rifles, you’re looking at a smorgasbord of cool gadgets.
