Spider-Man Remastered And Some Cool Upcoming Projects For You

Now here’s a caveat to this article. There are way too many upcoming Spider-Man projects, and we can’t possibly list every single one. Or this article would take you an hour to read. However, we’re going to focus on the most important projects about Spider-Man. Also, we’re not going to focus solely on the upcoming Spider-Man projects where he has the leading role. No, we’re going to focus on Spider-Man adjacent projects that also have Spidey in them, but he’s not the main attraction. And yeah. We’ll give you the details about them that are available for the public. Sounds good? Let’s begin then.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year

There’s not a lot of info about the upcoming animated TV series, but from what we know it’s gonna also involve Daredevil (Charlie Cox). However, the animated series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU. And with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots. Not only will Charlie Cox bring his voice to the character of Daredevil in the show, but it will feature none other than Norman Osborn as Peter’s mentor. Doctor Strange will be around too. And villains Dr. Otto Octavius, Chameleon, Speed Demon, Scorpion, and Butane the Pyromaniac will also be in Peter’s orbit. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until at least 2024, when the series aims to start streaming on Disney+. Yeah, we’ll just have to wait in order to find out more about Marvel’s latest multiverse shenanigans.

Spider-Man Remastered

Kraven The Hunter

This is the fourth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). And it stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the title role alongside Ariana DeBose. But just who is Kraven? Well, according to Marvel he’s the Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff. A man on a mission to prove that he is the greatest hunter in the world. Kraven the Hunter was considered for film appearances several times before Sony became interested in a standalone film for the character. J.C. Chandor is the designated director, with a screenplay by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk. Christopher Abbott is gonna portray the main villain in the movie, with Alessandro Nivola as a villain as well. While Russell Crowe, Fred Hechinger and Levi Miller have been cast in undisclosed roles. The premiere date for Kraven the Hunter is set for January 13, 2023.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Another animated project, but this time in a motion picture form. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). And is set in a shared multiverse of alternate universes called the “Spider-Verse”. Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson are behind the camera, while the voice of Shameik Moore will once again occupy Miles Mirales.

However, you should also watch out for the supporting role voice actors. The list is quite impressive. Oscar Isaac, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, Issa Rae, and Jason Schwartzman. Just to name a few. Here in the sequel, Miles Morales / Spider-Man goes on an adventure across the multiverse with Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman. And a new team of Spider-People who must face a powerful villain. And here’s the fun fact. The movie will reportedly, feature the reality designed for the 1970s Japanese Spider-Man series.

Madame Web

Here’s the thing. Madame Web is the fifth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). However, unlike the previous SSU projects, this one not only has a female director – S. J. Clarkson. But a female leading role. Dakota Johnson stars as Madame Web. A clairvoyant whose psychic abilities allow her to see within the “spider world”, and a spin-off from the regular Spider-Man. Additionally, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, Mike Epps, and Adam Scott have been cast in undisclosed roles.

This movie is based on the modern Madam Web in the Marvel comic books, Julia Carpenter. The release date is for October 6, 2023.

El Muerto

Announced at the 2022 CinemaCon. And musician Bad Bunny is set to star as El Muerto, the titular role. A more obscure ally of Spider-Man was introduced in 2006, although reports suggest he will be more of an anti-hero in the film. The plot will reportedly see the mystically super-powered luchador on the verge of receiving his abilities and family legacy. El Muerto is coming to theaters on Friday, January 12, 2024.

He’s the first Latino actor to headline a live-action Marvel movie, and the fans cannot wait for this one. Not to mention it will have Bad Bunny in the role of El Muerto. In the comics, El Muerto is a wrestler whose powers come from his lucha libre mask. While Bad Bunny already began making guest appearances in the professional wrestling promotion WWE in 2021. First and foremost, he won the WWE 24/7 Championship once. And competed in and won a tag team match at its flagship event, WrestleMania 37. For which he received praise.

Venom 3

Venom 3 was also announced at the 2022 CinemaCon. And the film will likely see Eddie and Venom (both Tom Hardy) continuing to flee from the events of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Even as the symbiote still yearns to be the Lethal Protector. Considering the duo’s brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, they may find themselves in a whole new universe and status quo. Will it include the Vulture and his scheme to get Spider-Man? We’ll have to wait and see. Likewise, there’s no set time and date for a release date, but Tom Hardy confirmed that a first draft of the script is complete. The fans can only hope for a quicker release.

And when it comes to the upcoming video games… Then another potentially great one comes to mind.

Spider-Man 2

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the next game in PlayStation’s critically acclaimed Marvel Spider-Man franchise. Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and PlayStation for the PS5 console. Oh and yeah. ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ swings to PS5 in 2023. We know about two major villains starring in the game: Venom and Kraven the Hunter. Venom is one of the most famous Spider-Man villains that get real deep into Peter’s life to mess everything up. So we imagine there will be a lot of trauma involved. You’ll be able to see none other than Tony Todd in the role of Venom. Todd is of course more famous for the role of the original Candyman.

Then there’s Kraven the Hunter. As we previously mentioned, Kraven just wants to ice Spider-Man to prove himself as the world’s greatest hunter. His motivation is whatever, and the times that I’ve encountered him have been more of a fun and gimmicky version. And it will be interesting to see both of them in this game. According to Marvel’s Creative Vice President Bill Rosemann, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be a dark story, but It looks like the game is taking place in New York City, again. Which for some is a bit redundant letdown. But we’ll have to see whether it’s good or not.
