SpellForce 3 is not the classic RPG. Or rather, it’s not just a classic RPG. This title is one of a kind, you will not find anything similar on the market. Why am I sure of that? Well, let me explain my point of view in the SpellForce 3 review.
The plot of the game: always the same old line?
To be honest, I don’t want to dwell on the plot too long. The title is not innovative in this respect, perhaps its biggest flaw is just that. You are in the shoes of Sentenza Noria, a powerful magician charged with stopping Isamo Tahar, a rebel magician who started a revolution, called Mage Wars.
From this event, you can start with your party, consisting of four characters in a memorable adventure. In a nutshell, SpellForce 3 proposes the classic wizards versus society scheme, which is great, however, at the plot level, it disappoints with its limited unexpected twists and turns. SpellForce 3: an exciting gameplay mix
What is most striking about this title is its mixed gameplay. On one hand, you will find yourself playing the classic RPG where you will have to combine the attacks of your party and find the perfect techniques to destroy opponents. Believe me, it will be fun to always look for new combos with which to eliminate enemies. Besides, in some stages, you can rely on Allied AI and deal with only one character from your party.
On the other hand, you can consider SpellForce 3 as a real-time strategy game. After conquering the first outpost, you’ll have to manage in the best way possible, controlling resources, men, and equipment. This phase of the game is also interesting and will get you involved. As you advance in the game, you can conquer more places, and managing them will become a pleasant challenge. Ultimately, this gameplay mix is gorgeous, unique, and worth trying!
What to say on a technical level?
SpellForce 3 is a “light” game because you just need 15 GB to install it on your computer. Although it demonstrates some bugs on the multiplayer side, the game’s development team is committed to releasing patches that can improve the technical aspect.
The graphics of the game are nice, in particular, some settings are visually spectacular. So, this game is a joy for the eyes and the mind, in just one word, it is excellent!
