Space Engineers

Space Engineers is exactly what it sounds like. You can get the jest of them in the title itself. Indeed, the title is self-explanatory but that’s on the paper. In reality, the game is so much more.

Creativity, Science And Exploration In Space Engineers

Developed and published by Keen Software House, Space Engineers is an open world sandbox for the engineer in you. But at the same time, it’s a game about engineering, construction, exploration and survival in space and on planets. It allows you to build space ships or simply repair them. Furthermore, you get to explore distant space stations and travel to the most remote parts of the Universe. And with both creative and survival modes, there isn’t anything you can’t do. Go nuts.

Realism Is The Key

Indeed. In Space Engineers, realism is truly the key. Because the game features a realistic, volumetric based physics system. This means that everything you can touch in it, it can be either destroyed or assembled again. Furthermore, the inspiration for the actual design of the game is in fact our own reality. The laws of physics do apply in this game, and realism is ingrained in the technology. Everything you see in terms of technological advancement is already ready to apply or could be realistically ready to use in near future.

That’s not to say, that you need a Ph.D. in physics for to be able to play the game, but you can quickly get the hang of it after trial and error. Multiple trial and errors. This is a hard and extremely long game to play, but it’s worth it. The story is good, but aside from the few bugs, it’s a fun and challenging survival-simulation game.

Space Engineers

But the thing is, the game is beautiful at the same time. All on itself. Sure the realistic depiction of pretty much everything does help, but the rendering makes it all that exciting. Space Engineers is a sandbox worth your time and brain cells. We do have Space Engineers here at IndieGala. Make sure you get it, while it’s hot.
