Shootas

Which Games Are Similar To Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef?

Well, there are quite a few of them. Whether it’s on style or substance, there are plenty of games that are similar to Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef. The games do offers old-fashioned entertainment, so it got us thinking. What else does that?

Let’s find out together.

Huntdown

Or HUNTDOWN in some instances. But yeah. This particular run-and-gun video game has that same 80’s aesthetics that can be easily found in Shootas, Blood & Teef. It also emulates the look of the iconic action flicks of the era but with no actual no-holds-barred style in the gameplay. There’s no strategy to name here and you’ll enjoy the mayhem-filled streets of the future where criminal gangs rule and cops fear to tread. Or as Daily Star put it… You might come for its highly stylized 16-bit aesthetic. But you’ll certainly stay for its authentic arcadey mechanics, amusing comedic overtones and unique boss battles. A classic run-and-gun with a frantic pace. Retro cool for the ages.

NeverAwake

A nightmarish twin-stick shooter with a unique worldview and original game rules. What’s not to like? Not to mention, A girl who never wakes up. The girl fights against vegetables, dogs, school friends, and other things she hates. What does the girl see at the end of the battle? And will she be able to wake up? But what the fans of Shootas, Blood & Teef will particularly like is the perpetually moving design of NeverAwake’s levels. Which has enemies arrive in droves while the screen keeps moving forward. Pretty cool right?

Chippy

According to Rapid Reviews – For those who enjoy bullet-hell games, Chippy seems primed to become a modern classic. But yeah. In essence, it’s a bullet hell game where you tear pieces off of enemy ships, slowly whittling them down to their core. Just so you can take that away from them too. After all, it’s a twin-stick bullet-hell shooter with destructible bosses. It allows you to chip them apart pixel-by-pixel. Slice off sections, and attack their cores as fast as you can. The fans of the Shootas, Blood & Teef will appreciate that creativity in Chippy as well. Which takes the formula from older shooter games by adding a puzzle-design aspect. And much like with the Warhammer game, Chippy features big boss fights that require a blitz from players in terms of doling out attacks.

Blazing Chrome

It’s a classic run’n’gun, fully loaded with action and exciting fights! In Blazing Chrome, machines rule the world and the few humans left are on the edge of total extermination. They’re also lacking power, prestige, or status among their metal and circuit overlords. And although it’s frequently compared to the Contra games, it has some similarities with Shootas, Blood & Teef too. However, the main appeal is the run-and-gun aspect. So naturally the game plays around with this by occasionally throwing 3D levels into the mix.

Metal Slug

It’s an oldie but goodie. A run and gun arcade video game from 1996 that’s been a for shooting games since. Metal Slug’s arcade-style gameplay is emulated in Shootas, Blood & Teef beautifully. Not to mention the destruction and mayhem are all part and parcel of the title. The game allows you to go all-guns-blazing, and for the players that are just re-discovering it, it’s pure nostalgia from the 90s. However, it is still a solid arcade run ‘n gun even today. Your character is armed with an unlimited-shot pistol, a knife for close up and a few grenades. What else do you need really?
