Metro 2033 Redux: The Aftermath Of A Nuclear War

A first-person shooter, survival horror game with stealth elements? Heck yeah. Metro 2033 Redux is in fact a standalone game (for Nintendo Switch). But a remake at the same time. However, it’s also the finest available version of an excellent and deeply atmospheric game. Developed by 4A GAMES and published by DeepSilver, Metro 2033 Redux is the definitive version of the cult classic.

‘Metro 2033’ an entire generation has been born and raised underground. And their besieged Metro Station-Cities struggle for survival, with each other, and the mutant horrors that await outside. You are Artyom in this game. Born in the last days before the fire, but raised underground. So, equip your gasmask and an arsenal of hand-made weaponry. And soldier on as you face the threat of deadly mutants, human foes. Oh, and the terrifying environment itself.

Improved And Polished Game

Yes, improved is the keyword here. The mechanics of the game are improved, and so are the visuals. They look a bit more polished and refined. Which is awesome, because they complement the otherwise epic game. Atmospheric and immersive are often thrown adjectives, but over here in Metro 2033 Redux, they fit. Perfectly. Not to mention there are some quite satisfying guns and despicable enemies to kill with those guns. And if you’re into stealth there’s some of that too.

Forget about survival horror done right. This is remaking done right and with the right intentions. The gameplay is enriched, the performance is amazing and the graphics are enhanced.

You won’t be able to put it down.
