The Worms series has been going strong since 1995. And yes, Worms Armageddon is a turn-based game from the late ’90s but fun and exciting as ever. Even now. Developed and published by Team17, Worms Armageddon is a timeless game that still enjoys a cult-like status among the fans.

A Fun Gameplay With Worms Armageddon

And for good reason. You see, the titular worms are the true star of this game. Although the gameplay is fun and engaging, the worms are really the ones that stick out. They’re funny, ill-tempered, and wickedly clever. They even know some martial art moves as well. But the game is easy to play as well. Which is part of the game’s success and let’s face it, charm.

But the basic concept is where they get you. Worms blowing the hell out of each other? Heck yeah. What’s not to like? They’re hilarious in this old-school style hilarious, and that’s what’s great about this game. It offers a good time without being pretentious about it. Add the nice graphics and good sound to the mix and you’ve got yourself a best-seller and cult classic. Sure the sound effects are at times repetitive and to be honest over the top. But the charm is in them. Heck, you can even modify them to speak different languages or even dialects. And with a dozen new weapons and gadgets for the worms to use they’re extra deadly.

But there are the campaign missions, which admittedly are mostly puzzle-oriented. And if you’re not a fan of such puzzles, then you will struggle. However, if you are, you’re going to have a field day of fun, addictive and energetic playtime. Could Worms Armageddon have more weapons? Sure, the more is sometimes the better option. But for what it is, It’s satisfactory good and enjoyable
