Rejoice Cyberpunk 2077! The Cyberpunk 2077 Movie is finally happening!
Indeed. According to the latest news from Tinseltown, there’s a bidding war to produce the latest video game adaptation. The Cyberpunk 2077 adaptation no less.
Furthermore, the Hollywood darling when it comes to the video games adaptations, Paul. W.S. Anderson got the task to direct. His most recent movie adaptation was the film adaptation of Monster hunter. And he’s known for bringing the Resident Evil franchise to the silver screen. Oh, and not only that! The Hollywood action man, Keanu Reeves will reprise the role of Johnny Silverhand. But this time in a live-action motion picture movie.
Cyberpunk 2077 Movie: Keanu, Margot, Jennifer?
Not to mention, there’s even talk that Margot Robbie will star in the role of V. And the Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is currently in final negotiations about one of the roles as well.
The adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077 comes as surprise even to the most notorious fans. Considering the simple fact that the video game itself faced a lot of problems after its 2020 release. And because of those problems, SONY even removed the game from the PlayStation Store. Not to mention, a class action lawsuit followed and CD Projekt Red is still recuperating from the fiasco. But that’s water under the bridge and the Polish video game developer is looking at 2021 with a new dose of hope. And optimism when it comes to the game’s future plans.
However, there’s still no official word on the rest of the cast in this highly anticipated movie adaptation. Or there’s hardly any word on the release date. Nothing has been confirmed so far. But the fans of Keanu are thrilled to see him in another great movie.
