Monster Energy Supercross 4

To be fair, this particular Monster Energy Supercross 4 post is only second of its kind. A post to feature fast motorcycles and movies that also have motorcycles in the plot. As you may know by now, I love mixing video games and movies here at IndieGala, and I’m happy to do that once again.

Indeed. My only previous example of this is my MotoGP post, from earlier this year. I mean I’ve done posts about fast cars, fast trains and even faster airplanes. But the fast motorcycles remain a mystery for me.

Speed And Adventure In Monster Energy Supercross 4

Ah, yes. That’s what you can expect from the Monster Energy Supercross 4 post. A selection of 4 very different but interesting movies. The first half of this list will compose of more youthful and silly movies. While the second half of this post will consist of more mature and acclaimed movies. The first half will consist of more action-oriented movie flicks. While the second one will be more toned down and serious. We figured by doing this there’s a good selection for everyone. Furthermore, we hope that you’ll enjoy our picks here. And of course, we can’t wait to hear your picks/favorites as well. But before I could go on with this post, I simply can’t forget the game that inspired it. Monster Energy Supercross 4.

What’s Monster Energy Supercross 4 All About?

Published and developed by Milestone SRL, Monster Energy Supercross is a motocross video game series for the adrenaline junkie in you. Oh and motorcycle aficionado as well. But over here in this particular post, I’ll be mentioning the fourth installment of the series. Monster Energy Supercross 4. Yes, we do have all of the Monster Energy Supercross video games available for purchase here at IndieGala. And yes, they’re all as fun and exciting as you can imagine. So just click here, take your pick and enjoy.

I mean take a look at some of the Steam user comments about the game:

– The game is definitely a step up from SX3 the big features that I really like is that there’s a skill tree and how you actually have to train to get better and how the bike is heavier, I definitely recommend picking this game up. – said twitch.tv/spencer83.

– While Malevolence adds: The graphics are great as you can see from videos unless you run it on a potato. The sense of speed and scale is a little small, feels almost like riding a BMX track more than hauling ass on a motorcycle.

So hurry up and get your supply of adrenaline and fun. But what about the movie selection I mentioned earlier? Well, that’s up next. However, I’d love to know your favorite movies that feature motorcycles.

Supercross

Supercross is not the most well-received movie on this list. But it does involve the world of professional Supercross, and yeah. It seems like a good fit for this particular post. However, this is a movie about a brotherly bond, sibling variably and meeting expectations. In a movie directed by one of the most respected stunt performers and directors. Steve Boyum. But in this motorcycle saga, two brothers must motivate each other to overcome every obstacle possible. All in order to succeed in the highly competitive world of Supercross racing. Both of the brothers couldn’t be any different, but their goal is exactly the same. And despite being a critical and commercial flop, Supercross has a great cast. Steve Howey, Mike Vogel, Sophia Bush, young Channing Tatum, Robert Patrick. Oh and the Hollywood veteran Robert Carradine too.

Fun fact: Steve Howey (K.C. Carlyle) & Cameron Richardson (Piper Cole) also worked together on two episodes of Shameless (2011). As Kevin & Cheryl respectively.

Motocrossed

A Disney movie is next. And a movie that’s a loose adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Oh, and coincidentally this is the oldest movie on this list. But Motocrossed is about the expectations of the modern gender roles and the strict norms that society puts on us to conform to. Andrea “Andy” Carson (Alana Austin) is a motocross racing aficionado in this flick. However, her overprotective father forbids her from competing and considers the sport as a male-only sport. But when her brother gets injured, she’s forced to step up and fill his place.

Fun fact: “Motocrossed” is the 26th Disney Channel Original Movie.

The World’s Fastest Indian

It’s time for a biopic. And with an Academy Award Winner in the lead role. Indeed. Sir, Anthony Hopkins is Burt Munro in The World’s Fastest Indian. A man from New Zealand who spent years rebuilding a 1920 Indian motorcycle. Which ultimately helped him set the land speed world record at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967. Jessica Cauffiel and Bruce Greenwood are also in the cast, but this is a movie you can’t miss. If you’re a fan of Mr. Hopkins, vintage motorcycles and adventure, then this is the movie for you.

Fun fact: Burt Munro’s children visited the set one day, when “Tony (Sir Anthony Hopkins) was having a particularly good Burt day.” His performance was so authentic that it moved them to tears.

Bennett’s War

The last movie on this list is the most recent one. Bennett’s War is a 2019 sports drama about Marshall Bennett. A war veteran who will get back to the world of professional motocross racing. His goal is to save his family farm with the prize money, but the journey will prove to be more difficult than anticipated. Michael Roark has the titular role, and although fairly unknown, this is a really solid movie. With engaging performances and steady direction from Alex Ranarivelo. It’s worth giving it a shot. Who knows you might like it?

Fun fact: Writer/director Alex Ranarivelo chose the number 32 as Marshall’s number as a tribute to one of his favorite cars, the Mark IV Volkswagen R32.
