Legacy of Thieves Collection

Legacy of Thieves Collection next for us. Better yet, it’s a good Uncharted game listing and it’s quite a good list to share with you in this article. Not gonna lie. It’s pretty sweet.

Not only because it has the entire Uncharted series in it, but because it’s inspired by one cool compilation too. And it’s not like we haven’t written about the franchise before. Just last year we did a cool review of the Uncharted movie. You know, the one with Tom Holland in the role of Nathan Drake and to be honest… It wasn’t all that bad. We kinda liked it. Don’t judge, but we’ve seen plenty of bad video game adaptations and this wasn’t even remotely bad. You can read our review here. But yeah. We have plenty of Uwe Boll movie reviews as well. So, you can definitely pick and choose your entertainment.

But for now, let’s get back to the topic at hand. The Uncharted listing. And it’s quite a special list, to be honest. It has all the Uncharted games in one place and the ranking is done by none other than Collider. So, if you’re not agreeing with the ranking, you have to take it with them. Just don’t kill the messenger.

Tom Holland Net

All, right now.  Let’s begin, shall we?

6. Uncharted: Golden Abyss

A spin-off of the Uncharted series, the game was released in Japan in 2011, Golden Abyss is one of the most forgettable entries in the series. Not because Golden Abyss is a prequel to the series of course. But on the other hand, journalists praised its graphics, voice performances, and recreation of Uncharted gameplay on the platform. And you’ve guessed it. The game is all about Nathan Drake of course. We also get to witness his globe-throttling adventure as he becomes involved in a search for the lost city of Quivira. He gets some help from his fellow treasure hunter Marisa Chase. Much of the criticism focused on its storyline and implementation of Vita-specific controls. But Golden Abyss debuted with strong sales and a generally positive critical reception back in 2011.

5. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

Collider calls it a really enjoyable bonus game after Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. But at the same time, this is a standalone expansion to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. You get to play the game with Chloe Frazer but with the help of ex-mercenary Nadine Ross. Furthermore, the location of the game is mostly in the Western Ghats mountain ranges of India. While your main task is to prevent a ruthless warlord and his army of insurgents from igniting a civil war in the country. Sounds cool? Yup, it sure does. Unlike the previous installments, Chloe is the main focus of the game, with the story, design, and gameplay elements reflecting her character.

4. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

This is the game that established the franchise, but Collider chose to put it in the 4th spot. Indeed. This is the first game in the series and is notable for being one of the first video games to feature force feedback vibration. Furthermore, the game follows Nathan Drake. The supposed descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake that is. You as a player get to follow him, as he searches for the lost treasure of El Dorado with journalist Elena Fisher and mentor Victor Sullivan. Yes, the game got plenty of criticism but also quite a bit of praise. Why? For its technical achievements, cast, characters, story, music, and production values, drawing similarities to blockbuster films. And wouldn’t you know it, it was made into a Hollywood blockbuster.

3. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

A fun adventure, with creative set pieces such as the cargo plane and freighter ship, and the search for a legendary city. It’s everything that Collider needs to call it a great game. And one that should comfortably sit on spot number 3. Set two years after, Among Thieves (2009), the single-player story follows Nathan Drake and his mentor Victor Sullivan. They both are searching for the legendary lost city of Iram of the Pillars. All the while battling a mercenary group led by Sullivan’s former employer, Katherine Marlowe. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception received critical acclaim for its voice acting, graphics, writing, story, and cinematic quality. And that’s why it’s in the top 3 games of the series.

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Almost at the top, but not quite. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End sees a retired Drake getting pulled back into a life of adventure after he is visited by his brother, Sam. This is the fourth main entry in the Uncharted series. But at the same time, it’s one that’s set several years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. But in the end, the game was acclaimed by critics, praising its gameplay, narrative, emotional depth, visuals, and multiplayer. And with over 15 million copies sold, it is the highest-selling Uncharted game and one of the best-selling PlayStation 4 games. Not bad, right?

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

The very top is for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Well, according to Collider anyway. The website adds: While the graphics and gameplay of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves aren’t as polished as Uncharted 4, this game is still the perfect template for this franchise. But the result of it all is a game that received Game of the Year accolades from numerous publications and award events. Not to mention, a game that many think is one of the greatest video games ever made. And with over six million copies sold worldwide, it’s still a beloved pick among the fans of the series.
