Easter Eggs 2023

Happy Easter everyone. Let’s celebrate this holiday without Easter Eggs 2023 Edition. That’s right. Because why not? Now, we don’t have an Easter Scratchy sale, as we did in the past. Nor we’re looking for Easter Eggs in video games like we did last year. No, This year we’re splitting and shaking things up.

We’re gonna focus on movies and TV easter and we couldn’t be happier. Which leads us to…

Easter Eggs 2023

But…. What About The Easter Eggs 2023?

Well, we have some cool ideas about that too. In this article, we’re gonna focus on two types of Easter Eggs. Movie and TV Easters Eggs.  That’s right. Last year we focused on Easter Eggs in video games, but we thought we take a different route this time. Oh, and here’s a hint. We’re not gonna revisit the good old Easter Eggs in Indiana Jones and The Departed. Heck, everyone knows about them. They’re already talked about. And heck, even written about too. No, we’re gonna focus on more recent movies and TV shows that are worth mentioning. More specifically movies and TV shows from 2022 and 2023. Not to mention the Easter Eggs that are in them.

Also… We don’t really have Easter-themed video games… But we do have plenty of great games, bundles and sales that you should check out. Just click on IndieGala’s website and find the best pick for you.

All right. Let’s begin, shall we?

She-Hulk: Attorney Of Law

What’s the Easter Egg in She-Hulk you might ask? No, it’s not an object, but two very familiar lines. „Don’t make me angry you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry“. Yup. They’re old and well, established lines among the fans of Hulk, but in 2022 fans had the chance to hear them from Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk in the series finale. But did you know this? The original lines appeared in the 70’s TV show The Incredible Hulk. Lou Ferrigno starred in the titular role and this was his iconic line.

The quote actually comes from the very first episode, where David Banner catches a tabloid reporter snooping around near the place where the experiments had taken place. David Banner catches the reporter and delivers the quote. Stating that he should stop looking into the story or else.

The Last Of Us

Ellie’s Mom! Hey, I was hoping that would put Ashley Johnson in some role but I didn’t think for a second it was gonna be Ellie’s mom. How cool was that? Yup. Anna (or Ellie’s mom) is played by Ashley Johnson. The actress portrayed Ellie in the iconic video game. Which you can buy it here at IndieGala too. Oh and if you’d love to read our article about The Last of Us you can do that as well. Just click here. Here’s a hint. We like it. We really like it. But yeah. The finale of the show was all about Ashley. As much as we want Jeffrey Pierce, we have to go with Ashley in Look for the Light episode.

The Last of Us Part 1 is available for purchase here.

Uncharted

Hey, we have a cool review of the movie. It’s right here on IndieGala’s blog… And similar to The Last Of Us, we kinda liked Uncharted too. But you know what else we loved? That Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer found a familiar figure on the beach in that one particular scene. You know what I’m talking about. And yes. After they get washed up on the beach, they’ll meet a pretty cool stranger. The fans of the game will recognize him right away. That actor is Nolan North, the original voice actor for Nathan Drake in the Uncharted video game.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves is available for purchase here.

The Batman

Yes, we liked Batman too. We liked it a lot, to be honest. And the movie is filled with great Easter Eggs. However, one is particularly nostalgic and a beautiful nod to the 60’s TV series. In The Batman, you can see a bust of William Shakespeare at Wayne Manor. This is a classic reference to the Batman Show from the 60s. You know the one with Adam West, and in it, Bruce would lift William Shakespeare’s head and press a button to open the entrance to the Bat Cave. Now, we don’t really know if Robert Pattinson’s Batman used it as much as Adam West’s Batman did, but hey. It was a cool Easter Egg to see in an otherwise amazing movie. Don’t you agree?

There are plenty of Easter Eggs to mention here. For instance, the Zoom meeting’s shot in Everything Everywhere All At Once. Or The 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 appearance in one shot of Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. The car makes an appearance in almost all of Sam Raimi’s films starting from The Evil Dead(1982).
