Dishonored: Complete Collection

Playing video games is my passion. I try many different franchises, but very few impress me. However, one of these managed just that. Dishonored. Sometimes I’m surprised how underrated this title is. The Dishonored: Complete Collection is the ultimate way to experience everything Dishonored has to offer.

Well, to be more exact, through its three video games. Dishonored: Complete Collection published by Bethesda Softworks contains the two main chapters of the Dishonored saga, Dishonored and Dishonored 2, as well as the standalone adventure, Death of the Outsider.

In my opinion, you should try them all. Without thinking twice. Why? Let me explain in my review.

Dishonored: Complete Collection offers some breathtaking stories

First of all, I want you to take a look at the trailer. It’s worth it, believe me.

I know what you’re thinking, okay, it’s very interesting, but what are these video games about? Well, let me summarize the plot of both main chapters. Careful, we will be going into some minor spoilers here.

Dishonored, prove your innocence

Dishonored, the first chapter

In the first chapter of this series, you will get in the shoes of Corvo Attano. The latter is a character who lives in Dunwall, a particular city, where fantastic creations and paranormal powers coexist.

Corvo is a trusted guard of Queen Jessamine. His task is to find a cure for the disease that is afflicting the city. However, after a long journey, the hero does not bring good news. Another event disrupts Corvo’s life: an invisible murderer kills the queen and the other guards accuse him of the murder.

Corvo will have to run, find a way to find out the truth, and restore his disgraced reputation and honor. The story of the first chapter is magnificent. The situations you will have to face will be intricate and exciting. Plus, there will be plenty of twists and turns. Personally, the plot reminded me of the second chapter of the saga of Assassin’s Creed, one of the best in my opinion.

I mean, do you need to know more? I don’t think so, that’s just a hint but I bet you’re already curious to try the first chapter!

Dishonored 2: defend your reputation, again

Dishonored 2

The second chapter of Dishonored takes place 15 years after the events of the first. You will have the opportunity to play Corvo Attano or Emily, the daughter of the late queen.

Suddenly, Luca Abele, the Duke of Serkonos, breaks into the palace and accuses you of being a murderer. You will be forced to flee and you will have to prove your innocence once again. This time, you will travel to different realms to discover the Duke’s origins.

This chapter introduces a novelty: the choice of the main protagonist. Depending on your preferences, you can decide whether to play with Emily or whether to return to being Corvo.

Again, the story will not be too obvious. I anticipate that some twists will leave you speechless. I prefer the plot of the first chapter. Yes, I know, I’m a hopeless romantic, but I always prefer the early chapters when it comes to sagas or franchises.

Regardless, don’t be influenced by my personal feelings, maybe you might even prefer this new trip with Emily/Corvo!

Dishonored: Complete Collection, an old-style gameplay

Dishonored: Complete Collection gameplay

It’s true, Dishonored: Complete Collection contains two main games within it. However, both have very similar gameplay. Of course, there are differences between the two. The second chapter compared to the first shows many improvements in terms of available weapons and possible movements.

There is a factor that unites both games. Indeed, it is the basis of the saga: stealth. So, I’ll say it right now, if you love shootings, frantic actions, or whatever, go away. This is an ideal stealth purist game. Of course, you can decide to go to war and destroy all your enemies. But frankly, I do not recommend it.

First, the game will become damn hard if you decide to do that. In addition, remember that you have a reputation to defend. If you kill everyone you meet in your path, well, I don’t think that will help you prove that you are, in fact, not a murderer. Finish both games without killing anyone is possible. I recommend you do this. Don’t worry, you’ll get a final reward if you succeed in this endeavor.

Besides, to overcome the different areas of the game you can count on paranormal powers. In addition to different weapons, you will have magical abilities that will help you go unnoticed or distract enemies.

Make the most of these powers and make your way like an invisible shadow. I assure you, playing this way will get you some Metal Gear Solid vibes. Well, although Dishonored is first-person and set in a steampunk world. Anyway, you know what I mean.

Complete Collection, why is it worth buying it?

I suggest you buy the Complete Collection for a fundamental reason: its price. Trust me, buying Dishonored saga games at a very low cost is a business in full swing. Hey, we’re talking about the two flagship chapters developed by a team like Arkane Studios!

I mean, they’re masterpieces from the last few years. Besides, this edition includes all the DLCs of the game. You will also receive the Dishonored: Death of the Outsider a standalone expansion, which is more than that, you might even consider it a real additional game.

So, seize this opportunity and take advantage of the offers in our store to buy Dishonored: Complete Collection.

Finally, I ask you what do you think of the Dishonored saga. Do you think it is one of the best franchises of recent years? Maybe you can also express your thoughts on Deathloop, one of the most anticipated games for 2021, made by Arkane Studios.
