Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, first scheduled to be released in 2019, is coming to PC on October 5th instead. We think the world premiere looks magnificent! And if it reminds you of 300, there’s a reason for that beyond the obvious setting. Anyways, there’s no doubt that the Assassin’s Creed franchise is getting an awesome new entry.
However, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is also getting a publishing expansion. Ubisoft just announced this (rather pleasant news for us!). It includes a novel, an art book, and an official guide. They’ll all be published worldwide starting this autumn.
Through these books, fans will be able to step even further into the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. You’ll be able to deepen your knowledge of the game and its lore.

Ubisoft and Penguin Random House are publishing the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey novel. We’ve got the backstory and we promise there are no spoilers here!
The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey novel expands beyond the game to explore the main story from Kassandra’s point of view. Kassandra, a descendant of Leonidas, is caught in the turmoil of the Peloponnesian War. Following an oracle’s prophecy, she’s left for dead by her family and escapes from Sparta. 17 years later she’s become a mercenary of Kephallonia. An unexpected turn of events causes her to set sail across war-torn Greece with one goal. Reunite her family and confront the ones who tore it apart.
The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey novel is authored by Gordon Doherty. He’s the Scottish historical fiction writer who previously wrote the Legionary series.

Ready for an epic voyage into the Golden Age of ancient Greece? Assassin’s Creed Odyssey takes you through a pivotal period that shaped the world as we know it today. The art book reveals almost all of that world’s regions and secrets. You’ll get up close and personal with the game’s protagonist — Kassandra or Alexios.
You can more closely examine their armors, styles, and the weapons they use to ply their deadly trade. Concept sketches, texture studies, character art and fully rendered paintings are annotated by artists and devs.
The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Official Collector’s Edition Guide
Ubisoft will also offer a guide for savvy PC game collectors. This guidebook, published by Prima Games, is a priceless tool for dedicated players. The guide contains a poster of the map, so you’ll probably be visiting the map screen less. It also includes a special message to fans (and we wonder what that is). Especially relevant, the guide has a general weapons/gear guide plus a 100% walkthrough. You won’t be missing out on any of the different branching stories. And, of course, you’ll access detailed maps flagged with all locations, collectibles, and targets.
