The Redfields From Resident Evil

And by The Redfields we mean Claire and Chris Redfield. The iconic siblings from the equally iconic video game franchise. Chris debuted as one of the two playable characters of the original Resident Evil video game, alongside his partner Jill Valentine. While his sister Claire first appeared in Resident Evil 2. But the Redfields are to this day, very well received by critics and the general public alike for their good looks and survival prowess. Which is why they’ll be returning to the new rebooted RE movie called Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. Claire will be portrayed by Kaya Scodelario while Chris will be portrayed by Robbie Amell. We have already written about the upcoming movie. Check out the article here.

And yes you can purchase plenty of RE games here at IndieGala. Check them out here.

The Mars Family From Heavy Rain

The Mars family is hit by a tragedy in the interactive drama game. Death of a child, divorce, kidnapping of the other child, and subsequent physical and emotional trauma for everyone. This family has gone through a lot indeed. But as the patriarch of the Mars family, Ethan Mars is filled with guilt and grief over the tragic events. But he must do whatever he can to save his son from certain death. His mission to find his son will take him to some shady places and unsavory characters, but it’s up to him to salvage what’s left of his family. And yes. The Mars family has gone through a lot. It does however deserve to be on this list.

Heavy Rain is available for purchase here at IndieGala.

The Addams Family From The Addams Family

The Addams Family doesn’t really need any special introduction. It’s a bizarre, macabre, aristocratic family that has a lot of troubles relating to the modern world. But the thing is, that’s what we love about them. They’re so caught up in their own special bubble that it’s hard not to see everyone around them as the weirdos. And of course, while I’m on the subject of The Addams Family I can’t help but mention Gomez and Morticia Addams. A couple with so much love and passion that even Romeo and Juliet would envy. Yes, they’re awesome and they deserve to be on this list.

The The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem is available for purchase here at IndieGala. Get it here.

The Mishimas from Tekken

I’ve written about my love for the Tekken franchise before. It’s no secret. Well, at least not here at IndieGala. But the Mishima Clan is worth mentioning here on this list. Why? Because it’s probably the most important family in the entire franchise. They’re also aristocrats and they have one cool thing in common. The Mishima blood. That’s right. Those of Mishima blood has the ability to enhance their fighting style with a chi that takes the form of electricity. Furthermore, the electricity in these attacks is a different color for each Mishima. Cool right? We thought so too.

The Tekken franchise is also available for purchase.

Les Enfants Terribles from Metal Gear Solid

That’s French for the United States Government project developed in the early 1970s, which aimed to produce clones of renowned soldier Big Boss. Solid Snake and Liquid Snake, were born from Les Enfants Terribles. A government project aimed at cloning Big Boss and hence the reason why they belong here. Quite the unorthodox family, but frankly most families are just that. Unorthodox. Oh, there’s a third member of the family, Solidus Snake. Which for all intent and purposes was created to be the perfect replica of Big Boss. Talk about a weird yet cool family. But we love them as well. How about you?

The MGS franchise is available for purchase here.

The Belmont Clan from Castlevania

Another family and another fantastic game series. Yes. We’re talking about the Belmont clan from Castlevania. It’s the most important and prominent clan in the Castlevania series and they have been entrusted with the duty of slaying Count Dracula and various other creatures of the night. Ever since the 11th century no less, which is why they’re so awesome. And therefore the Belmonts’ sole duty became protecting Transylvania from the darkness. A heavy task on their shoulders, don’t you think? Furthermore, the Belmonts possess some supernatural and magical powers and they use those powers to the fullest. Not to mention, The Belmonts’ primary weapon is the Vampire Killer, an extremely powerful holy whip that is especially effective against evil and unholy creatures. Magic and holy whip. What’s not to like about them?

Castlevania is available for purchase here at IndieGala. Get it here.

Thanksgiving Video Game Families: The Dimitrescu Clan from RE Village

Last but certainly not least. And we’ve covered the imposing and terrifying matriarch of this family (Lady Alcina Dimitrescu) last year as well. But I believe she’s worth mentioning again. With a height of over 9 feet, and a voluptuous body, Lady Dimitrescu is easily the most imposing and memorable character from Village. But so are here three “daughters” Daniela, Bela and Cassandra. Equally vicious and scary, they make one hell of a scary family.  Which is why they made it to the list. They might be terrifying, but they’re memorable as a family.

Resident Evil Village is available for purchase here at IndieGala.
