Survive Or Die Moments

Survive Or Die Moments is the theme of this article. However, the true inspiration behind it is one brand new, fantastic bundle. No, it’s not one of our own bundles. Although that shouldn’t discourage you to visit our fantastic bundles. We currently have 5 incredible bundles at IndieGala. And each and every one of them is filled with amazing games. Let me walk you trough them.

The Horror Tales Bundle is a true gem for every horror fan out there (check it out here). And so is The Midnight Whispers Bundle (here). The Old School Legends Bundle is awesome (get it here). But the truth is, so is the Designer Pro 4 Bundle (check it out here). But that’s not it. For the fans of adult themes we also have the Naughty Devils Bundle. It’s available here. Don’t miss it.

But as we previously mentioned, the Survive Or Die Bundle is not our own. It belongs to the awesome guys at Humble Bundle and I can’t wait to tell you more about it… But first… I think a word or two about the kick-ass Humble Bundle is in order.

Survive Or Die Moments

Yup. HumbleBundle Is Awesome! And So Is Their Survive Or Die Bundle

Although Humble Bundle was created over 10 years ago, it’s to this day one of the most beloved sources for bundles and, together with us, one of the pioneers in the industry. We here at IndieGala nostalgically reminiscent about starting similarly in the same period. Some names that might ring a bell or two are Indie Royale or BundleStars. Furthermore, the bundles on HumbleBundle include games from established developers, AAA publishers, and games for Android-based devices. Also available are game jams, and bundles featuring digital copies of music, books and comic books. Cool right? We thought so too. Also, a portion of the price goes to charity, while the rest is split between the game developers.

Here’s a fun fact: By September 2021, the total charitable amount raised by the Bundles exceeded $200 million across 50 different charities. Which brings us to… Their brand new bundle. The Survive Or Die Bundle which is officially live as of today.

Why is the Survive Or Die Bundle so awesome? Well, because of several reasons really. First and foremost, part of the proceeds will go to one of the 5 charities of your choice. Yes you get to choose the charity as well. Not just the price. Indeed, you get to choose which charity to donate part of the proceeds to: The American Cross, Child’s Play, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, GamesAid, Wikimedia Foundation Inc and Charity: Water. Take your pick. They’re all great.

6 Survive Or Die Moments And 6 Survive Or Die Series

Yes. There are 6 cool TV series on our list. And much like with the Survive Or Die Bundle, they all involve survival. Many forms of survival. Which ones made the cut? Scroll down to find out.

Jericho

A post-apocalyptic action drama which only survived for two seasons. But frankly, it’s one of the most underrated TV shows out there. With Skeet Urlich in the lead role, it centers on the residents of the fictional city of Jericho, Kansas. And in the aftermath of a nuclear attack on 23 major cities in the contiguous United States. So, the townspeople struggle to find answers about the blast and solutions on how to survive. It’s not easy, but hey. The circumstances are not either.

Fun fact: The Morse code that accompanies the opening credits of each episode is broadcast at 15 words per minute at 1000 Hz frequency.

Survivors

Let’s move to a British TV series, and a science fiction one of that. Yes, Survivors is another prematurely canceled TV show, and a damn good one. Furthermore, it’s a remake of an older TV series, and it follows a group of people. They’re survivors of an unknown strain of influenza that has wiped out most of the human species. Not to mention, they’re also struggling against terrible dangers in a world. With no society, no police, and no law everything is new to them. Julie Graham and Max Beesley take the lead roles and yes. It’s a great Tv show and deserves your attention for sure.

Fun fact: Roger Lloyd Pack is the only cast member to have acted in both the original series and the 21st Century remake.

The Colony

The Colony survived 3 seasons, but much like the previous TV shows, it has plenty of things in common. First and foremost, it’s a good show that got the boot way too early. Secondly, it has a great cast and even better characters. Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies are in it, but the TV show centers around one family in Los Angeles. Set in the near future, the family in question needs to stay together in the wake of an alien invasion. It won’t be such an easy task. Especially in a dystopian environment like the one in Colony.

Fun fact: Peter Jacobson and Sarah Wayne Callies previously appeared together on House M.D. in the episode “Open and Shut”

Falling Skies

Another TV series that has alien invasion in the plot. But this time with Noah Wyle in the lead role. He stars as Tom Mason. A former history professor who becomes the second-in-command of the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment. A group of civilians and fighters fleeing Boston following an alien invasion that devastated the world. Falling Skies got 5 seasons total, but yeah. It deserves to be on this list. It has alien invasion, survivors, rebels and what not. Check it out.

Fun fact: The screeching sound of the skitters when they run is the same sound effect used for the raptors in The Jurassic Park films.

Revolution

A post-apocalyptic science fiction show that got only 2 seasons total. That’s Revolution all right. But at the same time, it’s a show that takes place in the post-apocalyptic near-future of the year 2027. Also 15 years after the start of a worldwide, permanent electrical-power blackout in 2012. So, a group of revolutionaries seeks to drive out an occupying force posing as the United States Government. Billy Burke and Giancarlo Esposito are in the lead roles. You probably remember our article about Mr. Esposito from last year. You don’t? Here’s a nice throwback. But yeah. Revolution deserves to be here on this list. Not just because Giancarlo Esposito is in it.

Fun fact: Christopher Cousins and Giancarlo Esposito have both appeared in Breaking Bad (2008).

The Tribe

The Tribe is probably the oldest TV show on this list. But also, probably one of the best. It’s also a bit different from the rest of the Tv shows on this list. First and foremost because it’s a British TV show from the late ’90s. And secondly, because it only has kids and teenagers as characters. Yes. The Tribe is set in a post-apocalyptic city in which all adults have been killed as the result of an unknown virus. So, the focus is on the remaining children and teenagers. They must navigate the social and personal issues of adolescence. All while being faced with the larger problems of a society in a state of anarchy.

I have fond memories of watching this show as a teenager, and yes. I recommend it highly.

Fun fact: The same song is always playing in the casino.
