And we are considering bringing Doge along…but is everyone on board?

Dogs And Our New Crypto Sale

Secondly, it’s Dogecoin-inspired. Yes, it is. After the Doge coin hype that we witnessed just a couple of weeks ago, inspired us to create a Dogecoin-inspired, Shiba Inu-filled doge article. And finally out of all the animals I’ve written about before, surprisingly dogs are not in my usual rotation. Yes, I don’t have a single article about dogs if you’d believe me. Rhinos? Check. Cats? Check. Heck, even zoo animals. But not dogs. Which is why I’m excited now.

New Crypto Sale And Dogecoin: What’s The History And The Hype?

Let’s start from the history of Dogecoin, shall we? Did you know that Dogecoin was originally created as a joke? And by none other than two IBM software engineers. Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer are the guys behind it, but the first inception of the cryptocurrency dates from December 6, 2013. However, the two guys were aiming to distance it from the controversial history of other coins before Dogecoin. Which is why Dogecoin was created in the first place. But the thing is, even with the satirical nature of the cryptocurrency, plenty of people do consider it to be a legitimate investment prospect. Although the facts about this statement may vary, so don’t take our word for it.

Sure the cryptocurrency had its ups and downs in the past few years. But the real fun for the Dogecoin spectators began in 2017 when Tick Tok got involved. The price of Dogecoin spiked in July 2020- when a trend aiming to get the coin’s price to $1 began circulating on the social network. Furthermore, the cryptocurrency got encouragement from Elon Musk, Snoop Dogg and Gene Simmons in early 2021. But it’s the push from Elon Musk that did most of the job for Dogecoin. And on SNL too. And his endorsement continued after that. He even announced a rideshare mission to the Moon completely funded by Dogecoin. Thus becoming the first space mission funded by a cryptocurrency. Not to mention, DOGE-1 will be a minor 40kg rideshare payload on Intuitive Machines’ IM-1 mission in Q1 2022.

What Is The Difference?

And yes. In the end, it’s safe to ask… What’s the difference between Dogecoin and every other cryptocurrency out there? Besides the fact that i has the very surprising support from a bunch of billionaires? Well, according to the experts out there (and my own research), there are 3 key differences between Dogecoin and everything else. One of the “most important” is the supply of each. First and foremost, Dogecoin is inflationary.

Meaning “ the more doge is printed every minute of every day, gives doge a potentially infinite supply.” Bitcoin, on the other hand, has a finite supply of 21 million, which creates a “built-in scarcity of the cryptocurrency. Secondly, Bitcoin launched in 2009 with an extremely detailed white paper written by Satoshi Nakamoto. And Nakamoto’s intention was for bitcoin to become a prominent decentralized digital currency. As you can tell by now, that’s not Doecoin’s intention. And finally, Bitcoin has a well-funded ecosystem. So do the other cryptocurrencies, while Dogecoin literally has two guys that own 30% of the entire supply.” There are plenty of other differences, but these are the big three to name.

And Which Movies Go With Our Dogecoin-inspired article?

Well, movies that are filled to the brim with Shiba Inu dogs of course. The Shiba Inu breed is on the Dogecoin logo and it’s become synonymous with the cryptocurrency. So, which movies go well here? Well, we have a nice selection of some cool movies that are worth checking out. Yes most of them originate from Japan (OK all of them), but they all involve the breed as well. Scroll down to find out more.

Yôjû mameshiba

Yôjû mameshiba involves an interesting journey, heartbreak and family tensions. But it does involve a small 6-month dog named Ichiro. After the death of his father, and the abandonment of his mother, the 32-year old man Jiro (Jiro Sato) will join forces with the dog. Their mission? To find the mother that abandoned him. This is a 2009 movie from the director Tôru Kamei and it involves a very cute Shiba Inu puppy. What’s not to like?

A Tale of Mari and Three Puppies

The movie is in fact based on a true story in the 2004 Chūetsu earthquake So the movie is about the journey of a dog named Mari and her puppies. And of course the hardships that they experiences after the earthquake in Japan on October 23, 2004. Thanks to Mari, the two of them were successfully extracted from the wreckage, and everything was fine with them. A Tale of Mari and Three Puppies is a movie about courage, bravery and swift response from one very clever dog. Watch it if you’re a fan of the breed.

7 Days of Himawari & Her Puppies

7 Days of Himawari & Her Puppies is exactly about that. Himawari, her puppies and the deadline of 7 days that the dog has to save her and her babies. Furthermore, the movie takes place in an animal shelter, where if the owner of an animal doesn’t claim their pet in 7 days, the animal is put to sleep. So, Himawari is in rush with the time. She must do anything to stay alive, and that goes for her puppies. This is a heartwarming story of survival and it’s a must watch for every dog lover.

Inu to arukeba: Chirori to Tamura

Or in English, Walking with the Dog. But yeah, the movie is about one dog’s new purpose. After Shiba Inu mixed breed ends up with the depressed and lonely pet owner, the dog will get a new purpose. Comforting the sick, elderly and the dying. First with the new owner and then with everyone else. Both the dog and the master will attend the real-life Japanese Therapy Dogs training school and better themselves in the process. Sounds touching right?

Shiba-Park

Shiba-Park is about the daily mundane activities of 3 middle-aged men. They walk their dogs to the park, and they don’t know each other but they form an unlikely friendship. And one might say a bond during their everyday walks in the Shiba-Park. Sure the movie does sound like fun, but over here you have not one but 3 Shiba Inu dogs. And that’s awesome. You can never go wrong with 3 Shiba Inu dogs. The more the merrier.
